Regular inspections of electric hoists are essential to ensure their safe and reliable operation. The inspection process is typically divided into daily pre-use checks (routine checks), periodic detailed checks (monthly/quarterly checks), and comprehensive checks (annual checks). Daily pre-use checks (operator responsibility) Before each shift change or before starting use, the operator should perform the following quick checks: 1. Visual Inspection: · Overall structure: Check for any obvious cracks, deformations, corrosion, or damage in the main beam, end beams (for suspended hoists), or supports. · Nameplate: Check if the nameplate is clear and the information accurate. 2. Wire ropes/lifting chains: · Wear and deformation: Check for broken wires, knots, flattening, rust, severe wear, or deformation. · Lubrication: Check if the lubrication is good. · Fixed ends: Check if the rope or chain fixing devices (such as wedges, pressure plates) are secure and reliable. 3. Hook device: · Opening degree: Check if the opening of the hook has increased (usually not more than 10% of the original size). · Wear: Check the wear condition of the dangerous section (hook bending part). · Anti-dropping device: Check if the tongue piece (safety catch) is intact and effective, and if the spring can reset automatically. · Rotation: Check if the hook can rotate flexibly. 4. Brake: · No-load test: Perform a no-load lifting and lowering test to check if the brake is sensitive and reliable, and if it can effectively stop at designated positions. Check if the descent distance exceeds the standard. 5. Control system: · Buttons/remote control: Check if the up/down, left/right, front/back buttons (or remote control) labels are clear, actions are normal, and the emergency stop button is effective. · Limit switches: Manually test if the upper limit switch (upper limit) can automatically cut off power when the hook reaches the extreme position. 6. Running track (for bridge/gantry electric hoists): · Check if there are obstacles on the track that could hinder operation. 7. Abnormal sounds: · Listen for abnormal noises, vibrations, or odors after startup. If any issues are found, immediately stop using and report to the maintenance personnel.
