Important Precautions and Safety Warnings for Chain Hoists · Strictly prohibit overloading: Always use the chain hoist within its rated load capacity. Overloading is the primary cause of accidents. · Avoid pulling at an angle: The direction of the force exerted by the chain hoist should be as aligned as possible with the centerline of the steel wire rope to prevent lateral forces. · Keep people away from dangerous areas: During the tensioning process and when the chain hoist is under load, it is strictly forbidden for anyone to stand within the “ejection range” of the steel wire rope (i.e., in a straight line on both sides of the chain hoist). In the event of a break or slip, the steel wire rope and hook could be ejected with tremendous force, causing serious injury or even death. · Regular inspection and maintenance: Regularly lubricate and inspect the steel wire rope, hooks, and moving parts. Stop using the equipment immediately if any defects are found. · Use safety ropes: Once again, it is essential to use additional steel wire rope clamps for temporary fixation after tensioning and before disassembly. This is a critical safety measure. · Operate smoothly: When operating the handle, apply force evenly and smoothly; do not use impact or brute force.
