Before each use, perform a load-free test of the brakes; visually inspect the opening of the hook (deformation exceeding 10% indicates it is obsolete), the appearance of the chains, and wear on the links. Check the flexibility of the transmission mechanism every week; pulling the towing chain should be smooth and free of obstructions. Perform a visual inspection of the entire machine and measure the diameter of the link chains (obsolete if wear exceeds 10%) and the stretch of the pitch exceeding 3% (obsolete); inspect the wear on the transmission gears and the thickness of the brake friction pads every quarter (replace if wear exceeds 25%).
