Explosion-proof hand chain hoists are designed with materials that can prevent the generation of mechanical sparks sufficient to ignite an explosive environment when in friction or impact. Therefore, their key friction components (especially chains, hooks, friction plates, etc.) are made of copper alloy materials. Aluminum bronze alloy (Aluminum Bronze): Commonly used: This is the most widely applied material for explosion-proof hand chain hoist chains. Composition: Mainly contains copper (Cu) and aluminum (Al), usually also includes elements such as iron (Fe), nickel (Ni), manganese (Mn). For example, H62 aluminum bronze is a commonly used grade. Explosion-proof performance: Relatively low hardness, sparks generated during friction or impact have low temperature and small energy, making it less likely to ignite explosive gas mixtures (methane, hydrogen, etc.) or dust. Good wear resistance and strength: Has higher strength and hardness among copper alloys, meeting the load requirements of the hoist. Corrosion resistance: Better than ordinary carbon steel, suitable for corrosive environments such as chemical plants and marine areas. Explosion-proof rating: Generally applicable to Class IIA, IIB gas environments (such as methane, propane, ethylene, etc.) and some dust environments. The specific rating depends on the product certification.
