Quenching Process Flow: Cutting and Chain Formation: The raw material is cut to the required length and then woven into a chain. Preheating: (Optional but recommended, especially for alloy steel or large cross-section chains) Preheat at a lower temperature (such as 400-600°C) before entering the austenitizing furnace to reduce thermal stress and the tendency for deformation cracking. Austenitization (Heating): The chain is heated in a controlled atmosphere furnace (such as a protective atmosphere furnace, vacuum furnace), or salt bath furnace to a critical temperature (Ac3 or Ac1) above 30-50°C ** (the specific temperature depends on the type of steel), and held at that temperature long enough for the structure to completely transform into uniform austenite, with carbon and alloying elements fully dissolved.
