Hand-operated hoist maintenance steps before storage

Before storing a hand chain hoist, follow these maintenance steps: thoroughly clean it by using diesel or a special cleaner to remove oil, mud, and dirt from the chain and gear gaps. Use steel wool to wipe off rust, and for stubborn spots, use sandpaper (above 240 grit) to polish them. Note: Do not use a high-pressure water gun for flushing! Water infiltration can cause precision parts to become corroded. Functional inspection: Load test: repeatedly operate the handle to confirm that the brake stops instantly without slipping. Visual inspection: The opening of the hook should be deformed by ≤10%, and the chain should not be stretched or cracked. Scrap standard: If there are ≥2 missing teeth on the gear, cracks in the shell, or a chain diameter wear of ≥10%, it should be scrapped.
