Introduction to Hoisting Chains

Introduction to lifting chains: Common types of welded chains are made from round steel, which are economical and practical but have lower load-bearing capacity, often used for light lifting. Alloy steel chains (such as G80) are manufactured using high-strength alloy steel and undergo heat treatment, providing high load-bearing capacity, and are used in cranes, rigging equipment, etc. Stainless steel chains have strong corrosion resistance and are suitable for use in humid, chemical, or food industries. Galvanized chains have a zinc coating on the surface for rust prevention and are suitable for outdoor or damp environments. Safety precautions include regular inspection: check for cracks, deformations, or wear in the chain links (replace if worn more than 10%). Avoid overloading: strictly prohibit exceeding the rated working load (WLL). Proper use: prevent twisting, knotting, or sudden impact loads. Lubrication maintenance: regularly apply lubricant to reduce wear.
